17th December 2023 is the 120th anniversary of the first flight of a powered aircraft, which took place at Kitty Hawk, north carolina.
This whisky is released as a nod to that day, 120 years ago, when 2 brothers changed the world forever.
‘The 120’ is a hand-crafted, single batch whisky with a limited bottling of only 60 bottles. It has been aged in american oak ex-bourbon and apera casks.

Kitty Hawk Original hand-crafted Gin
Our signature gin embraces the tropical climate of Queensland, with a full citrus and spice flavour, rich mouthfeel and long spicy finish. The botanical recipe was designed with the use of hand-picked citrus and lemon myrtle from the scenic rim in Queensland. It is perfect as a sipping gin over ice, or mixed with soda. The Kitty Hawk ‘BYRON DOUBLE’
46% ABV, 500ml
AUSTRALIAN SINGLE-MALT WHISKY AGED IN A BOURBON CASK AND FINISHED IN A ‘LORD BYRON’ RUM CASK.
Lord Byron distillery is one of Australia’s premier artisan rum producers, based in the beautiful bryon bay region of northern NSW. We procured a barrel that was being used to age their rum. After emptying, the oak cask was transferred to our distillery and filled with spirit that had been ageing in a bourbon cask. The result is a superb whisky that has the complexity of both the rum and the bourbon cask whisky. The warm, spicy rum notes come through beautifully into the final spirit, which is long, rich and rewarding.
